Overview

Outer Shell City is the beating heart of the New Modern world, a colossal metropolis built upon the sacred site of the Great Technocide's most pivotal battle in the Eurasian front. Strategically located at the tip of the Belt and Road Canal connecting Asia to Europe, the city is the indispensable economic and cultural center of Eurasia, where all trade and influence converge.

The city was constructed on the ruins of the Technocide's most devastating battlefield, where human forces finally gained the upper hand against the rogue artificial consciousnesses. The location was chosen both for its symbolic value and strategic position along the newly constructed Belt and Road Canal.

Outer Shell City is intensely multicultural. During the war years, the country's situation was relatively better than surrounding countries, so immigrants, refugees and technocrats from all over the continent live together. The linguistic backbone of the city is a creole language called Avrasyaca. This language, which is a mixture of Old Russian, English, East Asian languages and various minority languages, is spoken by everyone in the city.

Residing in Outer Shell City is both restricted and privileged. Even Avrasyan citizens outside the city have to go through complex bureaucratic processes to obtain full legal entry rights. Settling, working or studying in this fortified urban area is only granted to persons with "Avrasya - Outer Shell Citizen" status.

Outer Shell City is divided into seven semi-autonomous districts, each with its own unique character and governance structure. The city consists of 7 districts and 29 neighborhoods connected to them.

1. Bölge - Administrative & Elite Center

1. Bölge is the administrative and aesthetic heart of Outer Shell City. It is the most central, most supervised and most prestigious region of the metropolis. As the center of government, finance and elite culture, it serves as the city's power and influence engine.

Outer Shell City's administrative center. Notable for its striking gothic architecture. A high-security and symbolic building where state decisions are made.

Avrasya state's most prestigious university. The entrance exam is quite difficult and the most successful students from across the country are accepted.

2. Bölge - Industrial & Port District

2. Bölge extends from the city's northern shore to the Port Area. It is mostly inhabited by the working class; where the city's heavy industry, customs and port operations are carried out.

Healthcare in Outer Shell City

Healthcare in Outer Shell City is a study in contrasts between official state services and underground alternatives.

After the Great Technocide, implant technology continued to develop, but only in analog form. Digital cybernetics were banned under the YMDA due to the risk of artificial consciousness-related corruption; however, mechanical and analog enhancements were left legal and are produced publicly.

Urban Legends

Outer Shell City has its share of myths and legends that circulate among its inhabitants.

Soviet Votkası

Legend has it that Soviet Votka, also known as Kanackow Votka, is the strongest alcoholic beverage ever produced. It is said to have been produced in limited quantities in the Soviet Union in the past century.

With an alcohol content of 92%, this drink is considered the hardest liquor ever made. It was distilled five times. According to the story, even just one sip is enough to get the drinker drunk.
